7th Circuit throws out ticketing suit against NCAA

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has reversed course and dismissed a proposed class action suit against the NCAA that claimed that the NCAA’s ticket distribution system should be classified as a lottery.  Reuter’s report covers the basis of the ruling and the critical component which is the non-refundable charge that the NCAA imposes on all applicants for the tickets.

Given the nature of this type of class action, we believe that the case will not be dropped and there will be other challenges to the ticket distribution system.
