Asian Games lacking attendance

The Asian Games are suffering from a huge lack of attendence and according to reports from SIM, another 400,000 tickets will be put on sale in order to get people into the venues.  The lack of attendence has resulted in part from people not using sponsor tickets and also from a large number of sports involved that have not generated the interest.

The Olympic Council of Asia is also struggling with the decision on whether to bring in Australia.  While there are substantial benefits in terms of competition and finances, the OCA is concerned that the inclusion of Australia would essentially devastate Oceania, which is largely comprised of Pacific island countries.
