In terms of adapting to cell phones, smart phones and using technology to engage spectatorss, the PGA Tour was as far behind the curve as MLB is about using instant replay properly.
So it is good to see the announcement that more events will allow it. I have no problem kicking people off the course if they use it improperly, but why should we all suffer.
Right, heaven forbid we have to stay away from the devices for a whole day. I accepted that fate only once, at Augusta. For US Opens and PGA’s it was always smuggled in.
My vote, throw anyone out if their phone actually rings.
