Devin Hester assaulted at casino

Avoiding hits on the field is one thing but finding a way to stay out of trouble off the field is often more difficult for NFL players.  But usually the issue is whether or not they can avoid altercations.

Here, Devin Hester was the one getting slapped

Hester was slapped in the back of the head while he was in line for a cashier at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, Ill., according to the Arlington Heights Daily Herald.

Daniel G. Rago, 52, of Mount Prospect, Ill., was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count of battery. Hester notified security and Rago was detained.

“Hester was a perfect gentlemen through the whole thing,” Des Plaines police chief Jim Prandini said. “There was no argument between them beforehand. (Rago) had been drinking. Mr. Hester did not retaliate in any way, shape or form. He was extremely professional throughout and there was no problem.”
