After a nearly two week holdout, the former Chicago Bull and 1992 Dream Team member, Scottie Pippen, has accepted a deal with 2K Sports. The upcoming game, NBA2K13, will be the first basketball video game to include the 1992 Dream Team and the 2012 “Dream Team”. Pippen was the only member of the 1992 olympic team that did not originally sign a deal with the video game maker.
It took a while, but Twitter followers, his kids, and his wife finally got to Pippen. 2K said in a statement, “feedback on forums, social media and community interactions were the driving force in influencing Pippen to sign a deal, as fans had shared widespread disappointment over his absence from the 1992 roster.” Did he really expect fans of the game to be happy with his holdout?
